Nechemia Mordechai, a young man who battled illness for many years, passed away on Wednesday, Rosh Chodesh Elul, 5777.
He was 32.
Nechemia was the son of R’ Chananiah and Tova Mordechai, who both serve as administrators in the Seminary Chaya Mushka – Machon Alte (“Rosenfeld”) in Tzfas, Israel.
They are both active with the students and programming and have inspired hundreds of girls in this capacity.
Tova Mordechai is a renowned speaker and the author of the autobiography, “To Play With Fire,” who inspires many with her story of her journey from Christianity to Orthodox Judaism.
He is survived by his parents, Chananiah and Tova Mordechai, and siblings Chaim, Yosef, Chana and Menucha.
The levaya took place in Israel. Shiva is taking place in Tzfas Israel.

Mrs tova mordechai has literally been their for her students. She is always so loving and warm to everyone and makes each girl feel special! Thank you for giving me the most amazing seminary experience. All the students that have past through your care are pained and crying with you. We hope you feel comfort and peace soon.
We love you tova mordechai!
Wishing the family all the much-needed strength.
Ad Mosai.
Your family added so much to years in seminary in tzfas. May you and your family know of no more Tzaros! Is the email address in the article correct in that Mordecai is spelled without the “h”?
Tova & Chananya, our thoughts are with you.
You are very special people and the Aibishter should give you the kochos you need.
Loads of love
