Sunday, November 24th, the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE) will honor Devorah Halberstam with the Global Ambassador on Antisemitism Award at their Annual Awards Dinner. This Award recognizes Halberstam’s decades of activism for the security of Jewish community in New York City and beyond.

Her advocacy was instrumental in the founding of the Jewish Children’s Museum in Crown Heights, a beacon of Jewish pride and education that promotes understanding and tolerance.
NCFJE Chairman Rabbi Shea Hecht, expressed the community’s deep respect for her tireless work. “Devorah has always been there for the Jewish community,” he said. “Her work with law enforcement and the Mayor’s office make a safer city for us all. She doesn’t just talk about change—she makes it happen.”
The award presentation will be one of the highlights of the gala event, as guests gather to celebrate Halberstam and others whose contributions have left an lasting impact on the Jewish community .
