Rabbi Zalman Shmotkin and his wife Malya hosted Tuesday the Bris Milah ceremony of their newborn son at Chabad of Stamford, Connecticut, where they are Shluchim.
Shmotkin, who is the Director of Chabad.org, a subsidiary of the Chabad Lubavitch Media Center, was joined by Yankie Tauber, Meir Simcha Kogan, Motti Seligson and other staff from the office in Crown Heights.
The mohel was Rabbi Moshe Klein of Crown Heights.
The grandfather Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin, Head Shliach to Wisconsin, was honored with saying the blessing on wine.
The boy was named Shmuel after the Rebbe’s uncle.
Also in attendance were Rabbi Yisroel Deren, Director of Chabad Lubavitch of Fairfield County and member of the Chabad.org’s Internet Committee; Rabbi Elkana Shmotkin, Director of JEM; Rabbi Levi Shmotkin, Director of JUMP – Chabad for Young Professionals and Rabbi Yudi Shmotkin, Director of Vaad Hatmimim.
