Mrs. Chana Forta, a member of the Chabad community in London, England, passed away on Thursday, 4 Av, 5777.
She was briefly ill with a terrible illness.
Chana bas Gedalya Shmuel was a longtime member of the Stamford Hill community, a beloved teacher at Chabad School for many years.
She is survived by her husband Rabbi Arye Forta and children, Benny Forta – Detroit, Dovid Forta – London, Shimon Forta – Detroit, Devora Miller – London, Laivi Forta – Aventura, FL, Meir Forta – London, Joel Forta – Aventura, FL, Brochy Chaliotis – London.
The levaya took place in London on Thursday.
Shiva will take place at 74 Leeside Crescent.

So so very sorry to hear of this devestating loss of such a fine and wonderful woman.

Mrs forta was a huge part of all our childhood back in the days of SH. She was a true example of a lady , she was dignified , she always happy, always smiling , i remember her infectious laugh ! she was the warmest person , always making time to talk to us children and make us feel important . this is a huge loss and she will be sorely missed !
