For more than 40 years, the Cheder in Morristown, New Jersey has been cultivating neshamas, lovingly providing the care and nurturing required to create the optimal learning environment.
From its earliest days when the entire school was comprised of less than 20 kids, Cheder Lubavitch Morristown has emerged into a leading center of Lubavitch chinuch for children from day care through 8th grade. For the past several years enrollment has consistently exceeded 200 students and is continuing to grow each year. “It’s a credit to our reputation and our devoted team of Melamdim that each year we have numerous requests from out-of-town parents wanting to send their kids to Morristown,” said Rabbi Ari Wilschanski, principal of the boys division. “Unfortunately, our space is limited which means each year we have to tell more and more parents we can’t accept every applicant.”
The story is similar in the girls division according to principal Mrs. Baila Piekarski. “Our staff is truly amazing. The morahs are very skilled and especially dedicated, but I think the special ingredient is the closeness of the community. The majority of our staff, in both divisions, is made up of community members and parents. We truly care about the success, educationally, spiritually, and emotionally of each and every student in a very personal way.” The results speak for themselves.
Like all educational institutions, budgets are tight. Fortunately, Cheder Morristown has assembled a group of supporters who have volunteered to be matching donors for the benefit of the school. Now we need your help. You can partner with us to help perpetuate Torah learning for all those who walk through our doors!
Our goal is to raise $50,000 to continue providing the high level of education to our current student body and to offer this experience to even more students in the future. Donate now and share the success with all your friends and family!
The Cheder’s endeavor is to provide elementary boys and girls of today with an all-encompassing Yiddishe and Chassidishe education in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. At our Cheder every student is cared for as an individual with his or her own unique strengths and abilities. Our combination of highly-skilled and tremendously dedicated staff with our small student/teacher ratio, our students receive the personalized attention they need and deserve. This in turn ensures their utmost success, inspiring students to grow and reach their full potential.
I am incredibly grateful for this amazing Cheder! The vaad, the teachers are all so dedicated and there is so much chassidishkeit and warmth. And a high scholastic level to boot!
BH! We are blessed with an incredible Cheder! The teachers and the curriculum are amazing. Most important, the environment is one of Torah and Chassidus, al Taharas HaKodesh.
