A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for New York City Wednesday night into Thursday morning, the National Weather Service has advised.
The advisory is in effect from 10:00 PM on Wednesday until 10:00 AM on Thursday.
Conditions may cause significant travel difficulties. Use mass transit if possible, they advised.
The forecast calls for a chance of light snow between 11pm and 2am, then snow from after 2 am to 11 am on Thursday, tapering off until 2 pm.
Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
