Montreal Camp’s Courtesy Gift

Each Chabad boy that attended Camp Gan Israel in Montreal during the 2012 summer has received a special gift in the mail in honor of Pesach – and one he can share with his siblings.

In a well coordinated project, copies of the 1:28 minute camp video were sent out of schools in large Chabad communities and sent by mail to campers who live in smaller communities.

Filmed by Yossi Myhill and Chaim Edery, and edited by Sruly Dubov, the video featured the highlights of this past summer. From the arrival, the day to day activities to the trips and color war, the video rekindled the memories of a fun summer.

“The response from parents has been overwhelming,” said the camp director Rabbi Yisroel Mochkin. “They greatly appreciate the free CD and the timing is great.”

He said the camp office has received many emails and calls from parents saying the video has been playing round the clock.

“We got the video,” one mother wrote. “It was heart warming. Our son can’t wait for another wonderful summer. It brought up good memories.”

Registration for summer 2013 has been overwhelming, Rabbi Mochkin said, as he and his staff prepare for another amazing, packed, chassidishe fulfilled summer.
