The Simchas Beis Hashoeva celebration in Crown Heights attracts thousands of visitors from communities near and far who come to participate. The committee of Simchas Beis Hashoeva teamed up with several organizations to ensure that every participant has a positive experience and is positively impacted by the light of Chassidus.
Many thousands of visitors stream to Crown Heights each night of Chol Hamoed Sukkos to participate in the Simchas Beis Hashoeva festivities. Visitors come from nearby communities in the tri-state area, some traveling even several hours, and they range from Chassidishe Yungeliet to non-religious families.
The Simchas Beis Hashoeva committee teamed up with Ohr HaChassidus, an organization dedicated to Hafatzas Hamayonos, to ensure that all the visitors will have a welcoming and positive experience, and will leave the evening after having been imparted some Chassidus.
The large “Baderech” mobile Seforim library truck was transformed into “The Simchas Beis Hashoeva Welcome Center,” centrally parked at the entrance to the celebrations. The truck was lit up with large screens, welcoming visitors to Crown Heights and providing information to those who were in need.
The welcome center was manned by a dedicated group of Bochurim who offered answers to those in need of information, offered a free handout containing Divrei Torah from the Rebbe connected to Sukkos (both in Hebrew and English), and also accompanied groups to 770 to show them around and offer a chance to Daven. Obviously, a large amount of Sifrei Chassidus, in Hebrew and English, were on sale as well.
Special thanks to Vaad Hanochos B’Lahak, who published a preview of “Mayonei Hayeshua” (a Sefer containing the Rebbe’s Sichos on Sukkos) especially to be distributed at the welcome center.
A large screen was set up at the welcome center playing the JEM film “Tishrei with the Rebbe” and many hundreds took time to watch portions.
This year’s celebration had the addition of a large screen set up in the middle of the dancing area, facing the crowd of participants. Every hour or so, a short video of the Rebbe speaking a Sicha was displayed.
Many thousands of Yidden who came to Crown Heights left with a Vort of Chassidus on their minds, and an overall positive experience thanks to these activities.

Seeing the stand makes Simchas beis even more special than it already is, bring a very pure feeling to the atmosphere.
keep making crown heights proud!
Me and my friends got a little put off when arriving to Crown heights from monsey and seeing all the food stands… this didn’t seem like a Lubavitch event… but when we cam by the stand nice chabadnik stopped us and shared with us a story of the Rebbe during Sukkos and we then watched a clip of the rebbe shaking Lulav – after that we saw the true colors of Lubavitch
