Mitzvah Blvd Entertains in Toronto

More than 700 people attended an incredible Lag B’Omer celebration at Chabad Flamingo in Thornhill, Ontario.

Originally supposed to be held outdoors in the spacious parking plaza, due to the rain it was moved indoors.

Hot dogs and hamburgers off the grill as well popcorn and cotton candy were picked up on the way in the covered parking area; once inside children enjoyed bouncing in the giant inflatables, eventually making their way into the centre’s stunning Ballroom.

Chabad Flamingo’s energetic youth director Coach Zev Icyk emceed the program; introducing Rabbi Mendel Kaplan who shared a brief and inspiring Lag B’Omer message geared towards the children. Then the recitation of the 12 Pesukim by children of the Chabad Flamingo community.

Finally, the ecstatic crowd of children was treated to our feature presentation Mitzvah Boulevard – Live from NYC under the dynamic direction of Chaim Hershkowitz.

It was unlike anything the children had ever seen before in Kosher style; the unique marriage of Yiddishkeit oriented music and Muppets remarkably engaged and delighted the children who were all smiles and couldn’t sit still for a moment!

The special synergy of Mitzvah Boulevard’s outstanding performance left an powerful impression that won’t be soon forgotten by children and parents.
