100 Shluchim from New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Virginia, Wes Virginia and Delaware, gathered last Thursday in Manalapan, NJ for a day of achdus, learning and inspiration.
Hosted by Rabbi and Mrs. Boruch Chazanow, the Shluchim were treated to a series of helpful lectures and workshops covering a variety of topics. The talks were primarily given by the region’s Shluchim, who are intimately aware of the unique challenges of the group, and are better suited to properly advise the shluchim.
A schedule packed with discussions on chinuch, innovative community outreach ideas, creating long term financial security, shiurim on the Rebbe’s Torah and hilchos beis habechira and delicious meals, culminated in a grand banquet.
Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, coordinators of the event, addressed the banquet via webcast. The banquet also featured a talk by lay-leader, Mr. Michael Weitz, and a keynote address by Rabbi Boruch Chazanow.
Shluchim, inspired by the unifying force of the conference, farbrenged together for hours into the night, along with special guest, Rabbi Elimelech Zwiebel of Morristown, NJ.
Said a Shliach on his way home, “These events give us that extra boost, that chayus, which allows us to continue our Shlichus with added confidence and enthusiasm.”
