In preparation for Yud Shvat, Oholei Torah Mesivta hosted Rabbi Sholom Ber Schapiro, a son-in-law of Rabbi Nissan Mindel, who was the personal secretary for both the Frierdiker Rebbe and the Rebbe, who spoke to the talmidim.
In a most unique and interesting manner, the young bochurim of the Mesivta learned how the Rebbe connected to thousands of people who corresponded back and forth with the him in English through letters, answers and publications.
He also related many stories of the Rebbe of which the bochurim had never heard before, as well as personal stories that he experienced, being a son-in-law to Rabbi Nissan Mindel.
A special thanks to Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm, Menahel, for coordinating the event.
Thanks, Rabbi Wilhelm for caring for the Bochurim
and bringing them such a wonderful and special speaker, sharing stories of the Rebbe, the Friediker Rebbe, and the first hand information on how the Rebbe corresponded to all.
Thank you so very much,Rabbi Schapiro for sharing. Its important for the Bochurim to have this knowledge and live with it. Maybe,Rabbi Schapiro can share more with them, more often?
A grateful parent
