As the Jews around the world were lighting the first candle on their Chanukah menorah, Jews of the greater Toronto area joined in an amazing celebration.
More than 500 people attended the annual Chanukah Concert at the City of Richmond Hill Theatre, just north of Toronto, organized by the shluchim of Chabad Romano Centre, Rabbi Mendel Bernstein and Rabbi Shlomo Vorovitch.
The event was co-sponsored by City of Richmond hill’s mayor Dave Barrow.
The main excitement grew, when children of the Chabad CKIDS brought to out a unique rainbow loom Menorah made with the 20,000 elastics.
The highlight of the event was an amazing performance by chassidic star Benny Friedman who sang beautiful songs that uplifted the entire audience. The Aristov Family Circus showed everyone their awesome stunts.
