Residents and visitors were invited to attend the grand opening ceremony of the Menorah Center in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, that will take place on October 21, 2012.
The largest Jewish complex in the world, it is the brainchild of Gennady Bogolubov and Igor Kolomoyskyi, two moguls who are partners in business and in the leadership of the local thriving Jewish community.
The center was created as a platform for revival of the fast-growing Jewish community within the city. At the same time the project is open and is aimed at the development of tolerance in the relationship of different nationalities, the center’s website said.
The unique architectural concept of the building, its convenient location, high service standards along with modern technical equipment make a basis for successful business, comfortable rest and warm events. The Menorah center is a unique bridge for cultural exchange and business development in modern society on the basis of tolerance and mutual respect.
The Menorah center is located in the very heart of the city – at the junction of the main highways that join the left and the right banks of Dnipro river, and it surrounds the Golden Rose Synagogue, built 150 years ago and now led by Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzky, Chief Rabbi and Head Shliach of the city.
The center consists of 7 towers that symbolize the Beis Hamikdash’s 7-branched menorah. The Menorah center is a unique synergy of business, hotel, conference and event services, along with leisure and education centers.
The program will take place in the Gallery: the visitors will be offered to enjoy the performance shows of various artists and the “PUSHKIN! Klezmer Band” ensemble as well as to participate in different contests and master classes for children and adults and many other events. Anyone is welcome to visit the complex and view an excursion around the Gallery and the Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine.”
Guests from around the world are expected to attend.
