Now in its 44th year, R’ Nachum Markowitz’s Kiddushim and food distributions continue to be a key part of Tishrei in Lubavitch. Thousands of pounds of food, from meat and fish to artisanal salads, fruit, and bread, will be distributed, nourishing thousands over Yom Tov. The project, inspired by the Rebbe, remains a hallmark of dedication and community spirit.
R’ Nachum credits the success of this year’s efforts to key partners, including the principal donor, Rabbi and Rebbetzin Yitzchok Raitport, in memory of their son, Shalom Dovber, who tragically passed away on Simchas Torah morning 5761, after returning from Tahalucha.
Among the honors on the anticipated massive signage is a dedication for Rabbi Shloimy Greenwald, in the merit of his speedy recovery, as well as a tribute from the family of Reb Eli Lipsker OBM, whose legacy continues to inspire the community.
Also displayed is a dedication for the enormous Yom Kippur break fast, sponsored by OK Kosher. This continues the tradition set by the much-missed Rabbi Don Yoel Levi OBM, whose generosity, wisdom and service touched countless.
Key sponsors include the Drizin family, Yerachmiel and Rivkah Leah Jacobson and Simon Jacobson, the Davidof and Nachshinov families, the Gansbourg family, the Levi family, the Steinberg families, the Kabachnik family, SBA Loan Group, the Raskin family of Raskin’s Fruit, the Hadad Family of Ess and Bentch, and PR Brand Marketing. The support and contributions of the Rebbe’s secretaries, Rabbi Binyomin Klein OBM and Rabbi Leibel Groner OBM, are also honored.
Supporters have expressed experiencing tremendous blessings through their involvement, and you can join them by contributing at www.kidush.org
