On Motzoei Shabbos Parshas Toldos, the 60 bochurim of Yeshiva Gedolah Lubavitch of Manchester were joined by a large number of Anash and friends for a catered dinner marking the anniversary of the Rebbe’s recovery from a heart attack and a Bruchim Habaim welcome event for the new bochurim Shluchim to the Yeshiva.
The Mashpiah Rabbi Yitzchok Klyne reminisced on how shocked all of Chabad were to learn on that Motzoei Simchas Torah of the Rebbe’s illness, and how after a long and anxious wait spent saying Tehillim, all were relieved to hear the Rebbe speaking to us.
The overwhelming feelings of joy that occurred when we heard on Rosh Chodesh Kislev that the Rebbe had returned to 770 was indescribable, Rabbi Klyne related.
Rabbi Klyne then welcomed the bochurim Shluchim, and participants were happy to hear that among the group are two alumni students of the Yeshiva.
The 6 shluchim have already made a great impression on the Yeshiva and on the Manchester community, in the four weeks they have been there, noted Rabbi Klyne.
The event continued with shliach Berel Paltiel explaining a sicha and Rabbi E. Eidelman told some anecdotes of Rosh Chodesh Kislev and the lessons that can be learned from them. A lively farbrengen continued until 2:00 am.
