Manalapan Receive Smicha

Sunday, the 10th of Sivan, Yeshiva Beis Menachem of Manalapan celebrated their Chag Hasmicha ceremony.

The ceremony was presided over by Rabbi Mordechai S. Ashkenasi, chief Rabbi of Kfar Chabad, and was attended by close to one hundred people, including the bochurim and their families, and members of the community.

This year smicha was given to 16 Talmidim who studied in the yeshiva during the past 2 years. The Bochurim not only excelled in their learning, but also were able to gain experience in learning with balei batim and other community projects.

Speakers included Rabbi Ashkenazi, the Rosh Yeshiva – Rabbi Levi Y. Schapiro, and Director of the Yeshiva and Chabad of Western Monmouth County – Rabbi Boruch Chazanow.

Mr. Mitchell Halpert, a member of the local community, also addressed the bochurim in the name of the balei batim, and Rabbi Avraham S. Lapine spoke on behalf of all the new Rabbis.

Bochurim who received Smicha are: Levi Arenstien, Mendy Boruch, Shmuli Chazanow, Heshi Dubrowski, Yossi Goldstien, Osher Gutnick, Yosef Kramer, Avremi Lapine, Yossi Lewis, Moshe Lipsker, Yeshaya Lowenstien, Avremi Orimland, Mendy Pruss, Yossi Shain, Shlomo Yager and Berel Zaklikovski.
