A man was arrested on Tuesday at 770 Eastern Parkway, after pulling a knife on some Yeshiva bochurim who insisted he return an item he stole earlier this morning.
A coat that went missing around 7:20 am on Tuesday, was seen on the perpetrator at around 10 am.
The owner of the coat and his friends asked that the man return the coat, and began following him to the door of the Shul when the thief pulled a knife on them and began to threaten them.
Nearby bochurim heard the commotion and called Shmira volunteers, who restrained him until the police arrived.
The NYPD placed the perp under arrest.

So many things get stolen in front of their eyes especially tishrei and each are in their own world. I walk into 770 and barely anyone sees you. They SAW SOMETHING and DID SOMETHING – wow miracle of the year!
We should have security all over, in, and around 770. There should have been a security guard near enough for them to alert him and have the security guard approach him. The man could have hurt them, heaven forbid, or pulled out a gun.

There should be Security “with alarms and cameras” “in all areas” that means starting from Kingston, the side entrance to the lady’s Shul, on the corner of Kingston and Eastern parkway to the ladies entrance, the main entrance to 770 for the men, the next main entrance and the actual door that will lead you into 770 by the steps, then on the side where the Bochurim entrance, and by the step in the back of 770 that leads you down the steps to 770.
