That huge Siddur on the shtender was always one of the amenities for whoever stood up to fill the Chazzan’s role in Chabad Houses and Shuls. Those large black letters were easier to read, especially out loud.
Some devout fathers even purchased the pulpit-size Siddur to assist their children in developing their Hebrew reading skills and become acquainted with the prayer text at an early age.
The new 7×11” annotated Siddur Tehillat Hashem, labeled by Kehot Publication Society as the First Large-print Hebrew Edition, is an attempt to enhance those qualities.
The Hebrew text has been completely reset, and carefully corrected on the basis of a thorough study and comparison with earlier editions, identifying headings before major sections, shaded Holiday additions and marked Chazzan paragraphs.
A detailed presentation of the laws relating to the prayers has been added as an appendix called “Selected Laws and Customs.” This is in addition to the “Rulings of the Alter Rebbe” section.
Another plus, helpful for Chabad Houses who call out the pages during the prayers, has matching page numbers to the highly popular Annotated English edition, or “blue Siddur.”

Its a plesure.
Call Kehot, or visit them in their showroom.and ask for the new (“old”) numbered Siddur. You’ll be amazed at the perfect reproduction of the old, classic Tehillat Hashem Siddur. It has weekdays and Shabbos tefilos.
Why don’t they re-print the old siddurim with the very clear type? They came in all Hebrew & had burgundy, blue, or green covers. In our Shul, we are still using ones that have a lot of tape, missing parts, & decrepit covers…we don’t like the typeface OR the layout of the new leather bound ones (you know, the white covers or black with red lettering). And of course, the few old ones we have are chapped by the men!! Gentlemen…give us our siddurim back! You can have the nice clean new ones. What’s that you say??? You don’t like… Read more »
