Maimonides Hospital on the Verge of Financial Collapse

The Maimonides Medical Center in Boro Park appears to be on the verge of financial collapse, having lost a whopping $145 million last year and defaulted on some debt. This is in addition to its allegedly subpar conditions and poor record of treatment. Full Story

With all the “who haas” (aka top people in boro park) and no one can save it ?! Then Maimonides is making sure it will fall and to this I say good riddance. someone else should take over and really represent what the rambam really would want his name to be all about. Not just for title. As for no money – what a joke, just during the virus alone was enough to make millions. Here we go again: soooooo who took the money?!

Good Point

The Government paid 100% for COVID treatments with zero copays due. Something stinks here.

If a hospital has terrible conditions and dosent treat patients right, then they should definitely close!

I would tell everyone to stop for a moment and imagine what it’s like to be a healthcare worker. If you don’t know you shouldn’t judge.

They killed a lot of people during epidemic
Didn’t let families take their love ones back home to be treated at home
They deserve it

hold on

To be fair, that wasn’t exclusive to Maimonides. It was every hospital, everywhere

My 33 yo son in Boro Park was taken by hatzoloh bc he could not breathe. Maimonides put him in isolation room unwatched and unattended for over 2 hours. He finally staggered to nursing station and they said, and I kid you not, oh, THERE you ARE! We forgot where we put you!
My son walked out of Maimonides, got into an UBER, went to Methodist where they immediately treated him for the next 12 hours.
He could have died bc of Maimonides.

Not surprised

I can’t even begin with the horror stories that just my own family has experienced at Maimonides. I’ve had relatives left in the hallways for days at a time. A nurse once told my mother to simply wet the bed after she had surgery and was too weak to get to the restroom. The level of maltreatment and hygiene issues was appalling. I won’t be sad to see it go.

Danger Zone

The amount of traumatic and ill treament my mother went through there haunt her till this day. The nurses would openly laugh and mock the women giving birth there. Not to mention other things that I will not be sharing on this platform. Nobody should go there to give birth I pray that that place closes and down. Those medical workers should not be hiered. Very antisemetic and toxic atmosphere.

Hope they close down!!!
