Maamarim Come to Latin America

The first volume of Chassidic discourses was published in Spanish, introducing the learning of Maamorim in a clear and self explanatory shiur-type edition for the Latin-American community around the world.

It was released by Kehot Lubavitch – Argentina in honor of Yud Aleph Nissan, the Rebbe’s 111 birthday.

The book presents 17 discourses of Chabad Rebbes, translating in bold type the original Maamar and alongside commentary in regular type, as well as more than 1200 explanatory footnotes.

Discourses included are ones recited at a Bris, Bar Mitzvah and wedding, as well as the famous series Bosi LeGani and the last maamar Veata Tetzave.

News of the release was announced this month by Rabbi Nosson Grunblatt, head of Kehot’s Spanish Department based in Buenos Aires for the past 30 years.

“On Yud Alef Nissan 5750, I handed the Rebbe our first Spanish edition of the HaYom Yom and the Rebbe said ‘a Yasher Koach’. And now we are giving the Rebbe another gift for his birthday. This is a great Zechus for our publishing team.”

Sponsors of the project were invited to celebrate the printing at farbrengen in Rabbi Grunblatt’s home.
