Announcement:
For more than 40 years, Chabad Lubavitch of Lyon, under the direction of Rabbi Shmuel (Moule) and Sara Gurewitz, are devoted to the needs of the community.
They are constantly toiling to encourage, inspire and bring Judaism to life in the streets of Lyon. Your generous participation in this campaign will ensure that these tireless efforts will continue and grow stronger.
In order to better serve the community, and reply to the growing demand, we are undertaking several new projects for which we are currently fundraising.
New Mikveh: A new men’s mikveh (unique in Lyon) and a mikveh for dishes, accessible to all.
Cost : 120,000 euros
Playground: Renovation and installation of a playground for the fast-growing pre-school and kindergarten of the Ecole Beth Menachem.
Cost: 142,000 euros
Center for STAM: A center dedicated to the checking and selling of Tefillin and Mezuzos. (Inexistent as of yet)
Cost : 22,000 euros
Renovation of the Yeshivah: Renovation of the learning hall, dormitory for Bochurim, expansion of Youth hall, serving CTEEN
Cost: 66,000 euros
Mitzvah Tank for students: Purchase of a tank, fitted with a Jewish library, a lounge that will visit the many university campuses and avail Jewish students of kosher lunches and Torah classes and programs during their breaks.
Cost : 55,000 euros
Annual budget for Chabad Youth – Tzach: Public Menorah lightings, distribution of Shmura matza, menorah kits, sukkah mobiles etc, diverse projects of Chabad of the Lyon region.
Cost: 95,000 euros
TOTAL GOAL: 500,000€
