In 5714, the Rebbe launched Mivtza Lulav in order to encourage Yidden to go out and give other Yidden a chance to shake the Lulav and Esrog. Lubavitch Youth Organization encourages you to take your set with you wherever you may end up going during Sukkos.
“Whether you are going on a family outing or running some errands, take a lulav and esrog with you, since you never know how many yiddden you will encounter,” says Rabbi Shlomo Friedman, administrator of LYO in Crown Heights.
Lubavitch Youth Organization launched the Mivtzoim Shop a few years ago to help meet the mivtzoim needs of women and girls. The Mivtzoim Shop at 305 Kingston Avenue has made mivtzoim quick, easy, and accessible for girls, with a one-stop-shop selling Neshek kits, guides, and more.
This year, as in the past, we are opening the Mivtza Lulav Center for women and girls, where they can come pick up pre-made Mivtzoim Lulav Sets, to borrow and take with them on mivtzoim.
Last year, we had 50 sets available. This year, in honor of Hakhel, we are doubling our reach! Thanks to our sponsors, we will bez”H have over 100 sets ready to be picked up at your convenience during our hours. Contacting us beforehand (via call/ text/ WhatsApp 845-393-1951) to reserve a set is optional, but recommended to ensure availability.
Conveniently located near the train station, the center will be set up at 305 Kingston Ave (in the Levi Yitzchok Library) and will be open on Chol Hamoed – Wednesday 12:00 – 5:00 PM, Thursday 12:00 – 5:00 PM, Friday 12:00 – 2:00 PM, and Sunday 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
