Over 3,000 people were in attendance at a dinner benefitting the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society Tuesday, held at Ateres Avrohom Hall in Williamsburg.
The event honored individuals who are active in the organization, which raises funds to support cancer patients and their families, and assists with medical bills.
Among the honorees was Lubavitcher Dov Landa, a Crown Heights resident who is a member of Hatzalah and the Chief Pediatric PA at Quality Health Center in Williamsburg, who received the prestigious “Medical Devotion Award.”
Rabbi Hershel Cohen, president of RCCS, attributed the event’s large turnout to their honoring Landa in his capacity as Chief Pediatric PA and his devotion and care for the patients there. He also thanked the large number of Crown Heights residents who attended the dinner.
In his speech, Landa spoke about cancer prevention in the Chassidic community and his experience with the important work of RCCS.

“Berele kocht zich in Moshiach”
Mini-zal OT 5773
I think he is the one that resuscitated a young boy with bad asthma that stoped breathing one night in moutain lodge some years ago.
I take pride that despite all this work, he is still an active member in crown heights hatzolah
As a fellow Hatzalah member and more importantly a true friend, I would like to congratulate you on being recognized for your selfless work. Without our families support and understanding none of this will be possible. Keep up your humble and unassuming ways. May Hashem bless you to continue being the true healer that you are and to go from strength to strength.
Now chabad needs to reciprocate this nice gesture
Very heartwarming and inspiring! Yasher Koach Dr. Dov Landa!

May there very soon be no need at all for RCCS with the complete revelation of our righteous Moshiach, as the Rebbe M”HM said: “heenai zeh boh” b’korov mamash now!
Dov spoke great. The crowd seemed to be more like 4.000–5,000 So many people that I met said they came for “Dr. Dov” He is 1 great mentch.
would have loved to have been there looks like it was a tremendous kidush hashem & kiddush Lubavitch !!!
please post a clip of Dov’s speech
w member he is a selfless human being with a huge heart;
having grown up in wiliamsburg, it was ingrained in me to have a hatred for Lubavitch. Until 7 yrs ago by chance, Dov (as he insists to be called instead of Dr). became our family clinician. besides being an outstanding diagnostician, he is also very responsive, When serious symptoms showed up. in one of our famiy members, he left no stone unturned until he was able to pin down a complicated diagnosis. Ohers just blew it off. Most of all he is an outstanding caring mentch ily with a new found respect for lubavitcher Chassidim. I began to learn chassidus… Read more »
