Once again, Lubavitch Boys Schools of London in England have achieved incredible results in the Tzvios Hashem International Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos competition.
With a total of 6 Certificates, 51 plaques, 29 medals, 5 Iyun trophies and 2 global trophies, it has been one of the most successful years to date.
The climax was on Sunday Daled Nissan, when the top achievers from around the world were announced.
Yosef Katz (14 years old), son of Rabbi Dovid Katz, Shliach in West Hampstead, came third in the world with a Bronze trophy.
Mendy Lieberman (12 years old) son of Rabbi Gedalia Lieberman, Rov of Heichal Menachem in Golders Green and a Magid Shiur of Yeshivas Kingsley Way came in second place with a Silver Trophy.
Rabbi Dudi Cohen who directs the London branch of the program together with Rabbi Shmuel Aryeh Hackner, recently took 6 of the boys to New York for the “Kol Hatorah Kula” finals.
He was overwhelmed by the magnitude and the vast knowledge that these boys displayed. London-born, Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, who directs the program from New York commented, “For a school to have two trophy winners from over 7,000 children K”AH taking part from 300 schools worldwide, is an outstanding achievement”.
