A Lubavitcher Chossid was saved this past week after he managed to escape an angry mob of Israeli Arabs attacked his car and brutally beat him.
Amichai Ben Natan of Tzfas was driving Thursday in a Hyundai from Kedumim, an Israeli settlement located in the Samarian hills of the West Bank, to Jerusalem.
When he arrived at an IDF security checkpoint, he followed a few cars to a dirt road hoping to get to his destination quicker.
Apparently, quicker it was not.
“I entered a hostile Arab village and was soon surrounded by locals and cars,” he said in a conversation with COLlive.com.
“A giant stone was thrown at my windshield and one of Arabs started beating and punching my face with his fists through the open driver seat window. They were extremely cruel.”
Ben Natan said they tried puling him out of his seat, “but I was tied and that’s what saved me.”
But moments before his attackers could injure him further, salvation arrived as if from nowhere.
“In middle of all the lynching, a man came out of nowhere and stopped the thug who was hitting me,” Ben Natan said. “I used the opportunity and pressed the gas pedal to speed away. Whoever was standing on the car fell off.”
Speeding out of the village, Ben Natan called the police to file a complaint. He also met an IDF patrol and told them about the incident.
“My eyes were burned, probably from the dust of the smashed glass,” he said. “I told them there should be proper signs at the entrance of the village so that people understand they are going into a zoo of wild animals.”
He was later checked at the Hadassah Medical Center near Jerusalem and was diagnosed with serious injuries in his head and around his body.
On Shabbos, Ben Natan blessed the customary Hagomel for having his life saved. “I still suffer from head-aches, but I know that Hashem saved my life.”

The arabs in Eretz Yisroel are dangerous and are full of hatred toward the yidden. We were driving to Har Hazeisim through mt. of olives and were surrounded by arab students who threw stone floor tiles (balatot) at our car and broke the window.luckily we were able to drive away. please, anyone going to Har Hazeisim should call the chevra kadisha and they will arange two shomrim with guns and will escort your car from the city of david up the mountain.
carry a gun or if you cant at least a baton and mace .
I do in my travals in and out of yesh.
Moshiach is coming in about 229 years, just be patient. Of course, there won’t be anyone around to greet him, but that’s another story.
