The 12th Annual Menorah in the D will take place the first night of Chanukah, Dec. 18, at 5 p.m. at Campus Martius in Detroit.
The event, put on by the Chabad Lubavitch of Michigan, will feature a beautiful program led by Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov.
The event will be hosted by Rabbi Yisroel Pinson and Bruce Schwartz, known as the “Detroit Ambassador” who will be adding a personal touch.
The program will include the lighting of the 26-foot “Detroit Menorah”, greetings by many Detroit and Michigan politicians and much more.
This year’s featured lamplighter is Ryan Turell, a Motor City Cruise player. Turell is the first Orthodox Jew ever selected in the G League draft.
