The 33rd annual Chabad “To Life” Telethon, benefiting the activities of Chabad West Coast in California, will be broadcast Sunday, August 25, 2013.
The 6 hour show which includes inspirational presentations, musical entertainment, Shofar sounding, greeting for the new Jewish year and the iconic “Dancing Rabbis” will begin 8:00 pm Eastern Time (5:00 pm PT).
It will be aired in Los Angeles on KCSI 18, San Francisco on KTSF 26, JLTV -Jewish Life Television, DirecTV Nationwide – Channel 366, Time Warner and on the web at ToLife.com.
The Telethon has become famous worldwide as a joyful celebration of life and a reminder of the power of good deeds. Donations range from a single dollar to tens of thousands.
Hosting it this year will be legendary television and radio host Larry King, radio host and author Dennis Prager and Hollywood actor Jon Voight.
Over the last 33 years, the Telethon has helped Chabad forge a unique partnership with actors, musicians, athletes, civic leaders and corporate executives. Featuring star-studded lineups and the endearing “dancing rabbis,” the Telethons are special events that have proven consistently popular with audiences.
“Whether it’s a child who needs a nurturing education, a senior citizen who needs some companionship, or an addict who needs a second chance, there are so many members of our community who are in desperate need,” said Rabbi Shlomo Cunin, Head Shliach and Director of Chabad of the West Coast.
“Chabad has always been blessed by caring and compassionate supporters, and we want the Telethon to inspire them to come together to dance, to sing, and to reach out to those less fortunate.”
