The hills of the Laurentians were alive with the sound of Torah and music as over a hundred professionals gathered to celebrate Yud Shevat for a weekend learning retreat in the beautiful Laurentians at the Bnai Brith Retreat Center, set in the stunningly scenic Lantier, Quebec.
The retreat was part of the highly acclaimed Chabad of Westmount’s Irwin Beutel Lecture Series, and featured best-selling author and renowned lecturer Simon Jacobson, who enthralled audiences with moving talks and inspiring farbrengens.
The weekend featured a whole host of non-stop classes and workshops on Halacha, Chassidus, Mysticism, Parsha, Relationships, and more.
As one participant aptly noted: “the spiritual enrichment that Rabbis Jacobson and Shanowitz brought to our lives, the wisdom of the Rebbe’s teaching, will inspire me, always.”
Support faculty included Chabad of Westmount’s Rabbi Yossi Shanowitz, Rabbi Peretz Schmukler, Devorah Shanowitz and Shaina Schmukler.
Entertainment was provided by noted pianist Pavel Feldman, violinist for the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Vladimir Krassov, and acclaimed pianist and folk singer Shmuel Stengi.
