Each year, the Rebbe would say a Maamar for the 10th of Shevat, commemorating the anniversary of passing of his father-in-law, the Sixth Chabad Rebbe.
Each year, he would expound upon another chapter from his father-in-law’s discourse titled Basi LeGani.
This maamar that was recited in 5714 (1954) focuses on the 4th chapter.
This class is presented by Rabbi Yehoshua Gordon, Director of Chabad of the Valley in Encino, California on Jewish.tv, the video-site of Chabad.org.

The following 2 Kuntresim were prepared by Simcha Kanter of Chicago, IL on this year’s Basi L’Gani ma’amarim: One on 5714, and the other on the second ma’amar in 5734.
“These kuntresim are intended for people who are able to read and translate the Hebrew text and don’t need a full English translation, but would still benefit from additional background information, insight into the overall flow, and down-to-earth application of the concepts addressed,” Kanter explains.
The ma’amarim are divided into sections, each of which can be learned in approximately one hour. 5714 is divided into three parts, and 5734 into two parts.

I was listening to the recording at work and I was truly transported to a holier place.
I thoroughly enjoyed Rabbi Gordon while reading Rabbi Kantors Kuntres.
Thank you so much Rabbi Kantor for putting so much work into this! You brought a new Chayus to my study of this year’s Ma’mar.
It is very much appreciated!
This is amazing. I am learning the 5714 Ma”amer and love the clarity and the user friendliness.
