The Solomon Leadership Program, a leadership and values program for teens, showcased its transformational program at the recent Shluchos Kinus Fair, held on Sunday, February 5. Founded in 2017 in a partnership between Palm Beach Synagogue and the Sosnow Foundation, Solomon has been steadfastly addressing the issues parents are most concerned about, including cultivating moral clarity, navigating social media usage, and instilling Jewish pride.
Using a Torah-driven lens, Solomon allows teens to examine all the aspects crucial to moral leadership. The innovative program uses a multidimensional approach, combining mentorship from lay leaders, the Solomon curriculum, and local guest speakers. Students gain an academic understanding of each leadership skill through completing the curriculum. They then bring each concept to life at the follow-up sessions, listening to the guest speaker’s presentation and discussing ideas with their mentor.
Since October 7th, the urgency of Solomon’s mission has become more pronounced than ever. The rise of antisemitism indicates that society can longer differentiate between good and evil, and cultivating moral leadership has become a necessity in our times. Chabad Houses partnering with Solomon are meeting the moment and teaching our teenagers how to confront today’s issues head-on.
“We already partner with several Chabad Houses, and the Kinus Fair allowed us to connect with more shluchos and showcase the potential in empowering driven teens in our communities,” said Solomon’s Executive Director, Mrs. Sarah Dworcan. “We are thrilled to have participated in the fair and are grateful for the opportunity to showcase our program alongside the other incredible vendors.”
Here’s what some of our chapters have to say about the program:
“Solomon inspires our teens to be true leaders and allows them to form bonds with our community leaders and local dignitaries.”
Rabbi Zalman Lipskar, The Shul of Bal Harbour, Florida
Since launching Solomon three years ago, we have watched our teens grow in responsibility, accountability, and courage before our eyes.”
Rabbi Moshe Krasnianski, Chabad of the Town, Montreal
“Solomon is an elevated and professional program that has connected teens and families to our contributing chabad community members in a meaningful way.”
Mrs. Chanie Kaller, Chabad of Sunny Isles, Florida
