A wonderful Niggun. A chassidish niggun stays chasidish, no matter who plays it, the neshama is there, it just has be expressed right. Maybe Avraham Fried can bring this tune to its best in his next chabad album.
I love the way we have so many experts in what Neshama is….the tune itself contains Neshama. Please a nice word or two regarding fellow jews.
#’s 2, 4 and 5. but i’m glad #1 enjoyed it 🙂
when you play a nigun its not just reading notes, you have to put yourself into it
#2 IS SO RIGHT, THEY ARE PLAYING THE MUSIC BUT THERE IS NO NESHAMAH.
im sure the elderly in the retirement home really enjoyed that!
I now could see why so many Jews were lost to Yiddishkiet therough the Klezmer music. There is no Neshama, yet they go around as if they are authentic Jewish Music. Feh
one of my favourite niggunim. i like how the woman in the turquoise top is ‘getting’ into the niggun!
