Thousands of Shluchos, Chabad women leading Chabad centers and communities from around the world, will be meeting this week in Brooklyn, NY, for their annual Kinus Hashluchos convention.
And the organizers want them to get to know each other.
With numbers ever growing, and the age gap widening, an attempt will be made to have Shluchos get to know colleagues who are not acquaintances or living in their area of residence.
Participants were recommended to “widen your circle of friends” during the Thursday evening meal and general session.
“Take a seat – this time near someone new,” organizers wrote in an advance email. “Please look out for color coded tables according to your age group and give yourself a chance to meet a Shlucha you’ve never met. Greet some old friends while making new ones.”
Another program, connecting Shluchos while benefiting from its results, is Merkos Mentors which allows the senior or experienced Shlucha to share their knowledge with fellow peers.
“This is a great chance to talk uninterrupted to people with experience in dealing with these issues, or have ‘been there, done that’… no need to reinvent the wheel,” organizers said.
“Be it chinuch, juggling it all, keeping oneself inspired and strengthening one’s own ruchnius, relationships, simcha, financial adjustments, special needs, coping with changes, etc.”
mixing up the students from different grades when we have programs
it’s great
I have tried this on my own several times at various kinus hashluchos and I was sadly reminded that this is an area that is our biggest challenge.
I hope that most will meet the challenge of TRUE Ahavas Yisroel.
A Shlucha

Wish they would promote all of this for all of us nonshluchos. Perhaps they can teach shluchos how to be friends with us regular women, too.
i think this is a great and awesome idea to get to know diferent people.
