Thousands of New York Jews of all ages flocked to Crown Heights Tuesday night for the annual Simchas Beis Hashoeiva dancing on Kingston Avenue.
A joyous tradition in remembrance of the celebration in the Bais Hamikdash, the event was organized and led by R’ Yisroel Shemtov, an activist who received much encouragement from the Lubavitcher Rebbe and directives for running it.
Men, women and children of Crown Heights were joined throughout the night by residents of other Jewish communities.
