In light of the coronavirus pandemic, Ckids is proud to offer its highly-successful virtual Pesach program to the entire Chabad community.
The Ckids Pesach club offers a chance for kids to discover the magic of yetziyas mitzrayim—literally. By tuning in online, kids reveal their inner magicians along with the deeper meaning of the Seder at a wildly successful Ckids club, now being generously offered to the entire Chabad community.
“Our goal is to bring the excitement of Pesach to Jewish kids around the world,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos 302. “Given the current circumstances, we are proud to give back to our community by sharing these resources.”
Ckids holiday clubs are the popular programs developed by Ckids headquarters for Chabad houses across the globe. Before every Jewish holiday, shluchim and shluchos receive a full package ready to be implemented in an engaging program for the children in their community. Now, for the first time ever, Ckids is making the Pesach program available to Anash free of charge.
“As an organization on the front lines of Jewish education, we are in a unique position to develop high quality programming, implementing our wide array of resources,” says Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal, Ckids director. With an impressive team of writers, educators, videographers, and designers, Ckids headquarters are able to produce material at a higher level than what each individual Chabad house could create on its own.
For this year’s Pesach club, Ckids partnered with renowned illusionist Ilan Smith. Kids are taught new insights behind each of the Seder’s mysteries, plus four unique magic tricks that they can perform for the entire family.
“The magic component teaches kids discipline, sleight of hand, and how to successfully entertain a crowd,” explains Smith. Each trick has been rigorously tested and practiced to make sure that it has the right balance of intrigue and accessibility. “Everyone will walk away an expert.”
