On Sunday night, the Kensington community in Brooklyn gathered together to celebrate Yud Tes Kislev with a grand Farbrengen – a full meal and much “Lchaim.”
The full program included a presentation of the newly released JEM video “Beyond the Veil”, and a Siyum Masechta by Rabbi Hershy Hertzel from his weekly Gemara class that he teaches at Chabad of Kensington.
The guest speaker was Alon Anava who shared inspiring messages that touched all who were present.
He related his fascinating personal journey, in which he had a near-death experience, before he was observant, that led to his full return to Yiddishkeit, and today he is a full-fledged Chabad chossid.
Everyone walked out feeling uplifted with good resolutions in honor of the Rosh Hashana for Chasidus.
