Yisroel Amar, junior winner of Season Two of “A Jewish Star” singing competition, had the time of his life touring the holy and historic sites in Israel as part of his prize package.
His flight and hotel accommodations, together with his mother, Golden Beach-FL Shlucha Nechama Dina Amar, was fully paid by VIP Israel, a company specializing in touring the Holy Land.
They visited the Kotel and Yad Vashem holocaust museum in Jerusalem, in Chevron they davened at the Mearas Hamachpela, and later at Kever Rachel and Tveria.
In Tzfas he visited the known mikvah of the Arizal and later in the day met his voice teacher whom he learned with via Skype video conference.
They flew to Israel through France where he participated in the 70th birthday party for his grandmother.
“His 7 day trip was very inspiring and really transformed him,” said his proud father, Rabbi Chay Amar, a Shliach and lecturer in Florida.
The 12 year-old has kept a busy schedule since winning the first Jewish music talent competition judged by Avraham Fried, Eli Gerstner and Mendy Pellin in February 2011.
He sang at the gala dinners of Friends of Lubavitch of Florida, Chabad of Weston, Chabad of Boyton Beach, and recently entertained a crowd of 10,000 at the mega Lag BaOmer event in South Florida.
COLlive.com was told Yisroel Amar is currently working on his first single with a known Jewish music producer.
