“An enlightening experience” – the dictionary definition of education. Parallel with The Rebbe’s vision of bringing out the leader in everyone. The Jean Schottenstein Oryah Institute has a clear vision: to educate. Our goal has remained the same: to facilitate a Chassidish environment that brings out the true essence of the women of our future.
With such strong confusion in the world, JSOI gives our students the tools to not only navigate their own worlds, but to be a beacon of light to those around them. As we enter our fifth year, we are humbled by the 150 students who have built our school, the families who have entrusted us with their daughters, the staff that have given a tremendous amount of love and care, and the thousands of donors who have partnered with us.
Each year has been monumental in getting our school to where it stands today. JSOI is now led by Mrs. Henya Burton, who has brought with her 20+ years of experience in Jewish Education. The directors remain Mrs. Leah Bastomski and Mrs. Itty Wuensch. Our staff consists of our loving dorm mother, Mrs. Nechama Pewzner and our dedicated program director Mrs. Rivka Chanin.
If you are a serious student, a positive team player, and are committed to investing in your yiddishkeit, we invite you to apply now. If you are interested in a curriculum that consists of both in-classroom learning as well as experiential activities, JSOI is for you! Our goal is that all young women who walk through our doors leave stronger in their hiskashrus, prouder of who they are, clearer on what their purpose is, and driven to make a difference in the world.
Applications open today and remain open until January 7th, Chof Vav Teves.
JSOI is now offering paid positions for our shlichus program. To apply to be part of our shlichus program or for the role of dorm counselor please email office@oryah.org
