Zalman Blesofsky, a bochur who was seriously injured 2 months ago when a van filled with students overturned on the highway while driving to their Yeshiva in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, was released from a rehab hospital today to outpatient care to continue his recovery.
Zalman was seriously injured in the accident, and had been intubated and sedated in a New Jersey hospital.
He was greeted at his release on Thursday with joyous dancing by friends and family. Zalman also shared a few words with the gathered.
Earlier, he thanked all those who davened for his recovery, and said that he will “hopefully return to Yeshiva as fast as possible.”
His family said today that he is now “more mobile, and his vision has improved somewhat,” since the accident.
“We are still davening for a full refuah with his eyesight,” they said. “We are definitely on a smoother part of the journey now,” they said.
“Although we are not at the end yet, we would like to share how much all your support means in every way. This is not in any way a solo journey, and we have been carried along by our family, friends and communities in so many places.”
Please continue to daven for Shneur Zalman Hakohen ben Elisheva.
