Since 2000, JGR’s mission is to provide a safe, loving environment for ALL Jewish girls to explore Judaism through the arts, nature, and creativity. Although camp regrettably can not take place in-person, JGU is integrating overnight summer camp (JGR) and innovative online JGU programs to offer the ultimate experience LIVE from the new campus in East Greenbush, NY.
The Jewish Girls Retreat, “where every girl grows, shines, and is family,” is part of Jewish Girls Unite, the global online community empowering girls to use their talents and strengths to shine and lead. (www.JewishGirlsUnite.com).
JGR is moving online with an incredible 6 week JGU Virtual Summer Retreat, running June 29-Aug 7, 2020 (Tammuz 7-Av 17, 5780), for girls entering grades 3-11 across the United States and beyond!
The program will offer fine arts with artist Chana Laber that will connect to a daily themed fun activity with Nechama and amazing staff according to age groups. In addition to featured guests, night activities, nature and Torah with Rabbi Laber, leadership training and fun and games; Creative Online Clubs will be offered by professionals and experts in their fields. Clubs to choose from will include crafts, drama and dance, culinary arts, debate, and public speaking, scriptwriting and puppetry, music and singing, and more. Girls will cultivate a variety of creative talents, gain new skills in Jewish leadership, and create new friendships with Jewish girls worldwide.
