Now operating in its 18th academic year, JETS Yeshiva of Los Angeles has announced its annual alumni reunion in Miami, Florida. Alumni from across the country and worldwide have received exclusive invitations to an ‘Alumni Whisky & Cigars Night’ that includes networking, dinner, speeches, and live entertainment-—and an opportunity to re-connect with old friends and make new ones.
JETS caters to bochurim 16-20 years old and has earned a strong reputation for itself thanks to the large number of success stories of alumni securing lucrative positions while maintaining a proud Jewish identity and a deep love of Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit. That reputation has led to an unprecedented increase in enrollment this academic year, tripling the student body.
The school’s mission is inspired by the mandate “chanoch l’na’ar al pi darko.” Instead of trying to mold boys to fit into the system, JETS has created a unique educational program that is customized for each student.
JETS helps students find the niche they excel in and then gives them the tools to succeed in that area. By giving youth the skills they need to survive and thrive in the real world, they empower young men to make a difference and lead meaningful lives. As a testament to their success, JETS alumni have found secured, highly lucrative positions in finance, real estate, construction, and aviation, to name a few.
“The JETS alumni network is stronger than ever,” says Rabbi Mayer Schmukler, founder and director of JETS. “Students who attend JETS become part of the JETS family for life. We’ve created an incredible network of connections for our graduates and are excited to see the amazing personal and business collaborations our alumni are creating in the real world. We look forward to reconnecting with our extended JETS alumni family in Florida, in January.”
