An international group of JETS students from London, Leeds, Montreal, Argentina, New York and Kansas City were treated to an amazing ten day winter road trip during the school’s winter break.
The JETS crew traveled though three states, California, Nevada and Arizona, stopping off to Farbreng with many Shluchim, including Rabbi Benny Lew (Palm Springs), Rabbi Mendy Deitsch (Phoenix), Rabbi Levi Wilhelm (Las Vegas) and Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein (San Diego).
The whirlwind trip was directed and arranged by JETS Shliach Menachem Weinstein with the invaluable additions of Meir Ovadia Albukerk, Eli Seewald and Yisrolik Kapeluschnik.
Activities on the road included paintball games, go carting, camping, a Farbrengen on a limo ride in Las Vegas, laser tag, glow in the dark mini golf, soccer, hiking and midnight BBQ’s and campfires.
The trip was the best thing to happen in 2013 said one of the students. “Everyone bonded closely as a group, took on Hachlotos Tovot and just had the most awesome time ever,” they said.
JETS Principal Rabbi Naftali Smith came to one of the campsites and spent quality time with the travelers, his visit was an amazing moment for all.
