Island is Home to Sports Camp

A unique water sports camp, located on South Padre Island, Texas, has completed its fourth summer season.

This year, campers at the three-week overnight camp enjoyed a new and exclusive educational and recreational water-sports program with a focus on surfing.

Campers from across the state and from as far as the Virgin Islands, enjoyed days packed with sun, fun, friends and lots of surf. They rode the waves and learned new skills with top professionals in the field. The luxury water-front accommodations were a great hit, as well as the array of innovative hands-on, Jewish experience programs.

CGI-SPI is under the auspices of Chabad Lubavitch of Texas, and is directed by Asher and Dina Hecht.
