The International Kinus Hashluchim is back.
The annual convension in New York which gathers thousands of Chabad Shluchim and their suporters from around the world will once again be an in-person affair.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Executive Vaad of the Kinus Hashluchim hosted in the Crown Heights home of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch.
The dates set for the Kinus are Thursday to Sunday, 21-26 Cheshvan 5782 / October 27-31 2021.
“The Vaad is pleased to announce that Kinus will be held in person this upcoming year as it has been every year in the past,” they said in a statement.
During the meeting, the Vaad covered many complex aspects of hosting a Kinus in the new post-Covid reality, as well as planning the theme, sessions, gala banquet and many other pertinent parts of the Kinus.
Last year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Kinus was held virtually for the first time. As reported on COLlive.com, the Motzoei Shabbos session continued running for 136 hours becoming the world-record longest Zoom meeting, as well as the longest-running farbrengen in history.
