People that are married are different then Bochrim. But the real reason I wrote the above is not Because the Hanholah are no good. They are people to. All I was Trying to point out is that instead of trying to find problems lets try and deal with the real issues. Lets be a Dugma Chayo. Lets make the bochrim feel proud of them selves. Lets give them Positive encouragement. Lets enforce the Real Problems (what they should do according to Halochoh). Lets remember that we are all children of the Rebbe. The Rebbe Demanded Ahavas Yisroel. Unfortunately our leaders… Read more »

Well, based on what just happened in Monsey — a five year old child was very critically burned by a downed wire, while waiting for his bus to cheder, and a neighbor who tried to help him was electrocuted–it seems irresponsible to leave one’s home. i don’t understand.

Why the excitement?

Why shouldn’t there be regular minyonim to day, because of a couple of twigs?!

Blue & Grey Kapotas
August 28, 2011 2:54 pm

I well remember blue and grey kapotas worn in the early choff years by some very prominent chasidim. Yes, even on Shabbos, and yes, right in front of the Rebbe. If the Rebe had any objection, he certainly gave no sign of it. So anyone who would passel a bochur for wearing a blue shirt on a weekday needs to be fired immediately and replaced with someone with a brain in his head.

In past few years there has been a few hanholah ( & more have joined in) to force the bochrim (even giving out kenosim & or sending the bochrim back to their houses/apt. ) to where white shirts. Unfortunately these same Hanholah dont see the real problem of what is going around them and they concentrate on shetusim in stead of how do we really work with the bochrim. That A) they sit and farbrang and talk with (not down) at the bochrim B) make the bochrim feel who they really are. And feel the way the Rebbes Children should… Read more »

Yes, I bet most bohurim today don’t know that it started in 1996 with a meeting of a few roshei Yeshiva. I can imagine someone saying at a Farbrengen “would you not wear a white shirt if the Rebbe was here?!! .ummm yes, no body wore just white shirts then.

White Shirt!!!
August 28, 2011 1:05 pm

It is good to see some chasidishe bochrim and yunger light who are wearing blue shits. There are some people who are trying to make this traif. We have to start learning how to be normal people and stop being fanatics. 30 years ago most people only had white shirts on shabbos. Maybe the problem is the hanholah…!!!!

don't get it
