In Australia, it’s Winter Camp

Camp Gan Israel in Perth, Western Australia, recently completed a succesful winter camp program for over 60 children.

The children joined for a week of non-stop fun through amazing activities, Jewish workshops and exciting activities and trips.

The theme of camp this winter was Gan Izzy Airlines. The camp landed at a different country everyday and learned different lessons from every country.

The volunteer counselors, who flew in from Melbourne to run the camp, were Nechama Raskin, Rikkie Winner, Mushkee Raskin, Chani Groner, Dasi Pinczower and head counselor Mazal Atzil.

“It was a pleasure to see the children’s smiles every day,” said one staff member. “Their positive attitude and excitement for every activity made it the most rewarding opportunity for the counsellors.”

“The special bond they made with their campers will be treasured forever,” head counselor Mazal Atzil told COLlive.

A big thank you to Shmuli Lehrer who helped camp run smoothly, and to Odeya and Rabbi Shalom White for their never ending love and dedication to the Gan Israel Camps.
