Chabad in Copenhagen, Denmark, directed by Rabbi Yitzi and Rochel Loewenthal, recently organized a weekend of inspiration.
A few hundred people participated in the experience, called “iJew,” which included speakers and seminars.
The weekend began with a Friday night meal for students, with guest speaker Dr. David Lazerson, who spoke about his book ‘Skullcaps and Switchblades.’
On Shabbos day a meal was held with guest speaker Edwin Shuka, who told about his escape from Saddam Hussain.
On Sunday a full day seminar took place, with guest speakers including the Israeli ambassador, the Chief Rabbi of Denmark and both Dr. Lazerson and Edwin Shuka.
A parallel program for children was held, with exciting Purim activities.
The day ended with a concert by Dr. Lazerson.
Many of the participants wrote afterwords to tell the Shluchim how moved they were by the experience.
