IDF Soldiers Thank Young Shluchim for Their Protective Mishnayos

This year’s MyShliach MBP program began shortly after Sukkos. In light of the ongoing war, each young shliach was given the name of an IDF soldier and one of the hostages, to study in the merit of their protection and release.

“Thank you to all the kids of Shluchim for learning for us and davening for us, it makes a massive difference and we really appreciate it,” said Idan, a soldier currently deployed in Gaza, in response to their efforts. In addition to the spiritual protection the Mishnayos provide, by getting in touch with Idan, MyShliach was able to organize a new tactical helmet which he required, to be delivered to him swiftly, providing some physical protection too, with a twist of open Hashgacha Protis.

Another front-line soldier, Levi Jaffe marveled at the young learners’ dedication, stating, “These numbers are incredible, a hundred and fifty-eight thousand, five hundred and seventy-five minutes and thirty-eight thousand seven hundred and thirty-nine lines! That’s incredible work, thank you so much for looking out for us.”

“Whenever a crisis emerged around the world and especially Eretz Yisroel, The Rebbe emphasized the protection the Torah and Mitzvos of young children provides,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of MyShliach’s umbrella organization Merkos 302, “the Yaldei Hashluchim have excelled at showing their Torah learning is not only a personal endeavor but playing their part in the global community too.”

Visitors to the new MyShliach Mishnayos Bal Peh platform are met by an automated ticker tallying the number of hours spent and lines learned by Yaldei Hashluchim in all corners of the globe. Since its launch in 2019, Young Shluchim worldwide have been inspired to memorize over half a million lines of Mishnayos and Tanya in an innovative gamified fashion.

Parents test their children on their accumulated knowledge and update their accounts online on the innovative MBP Platform. The young Shluchim can use the platform to purchase prizes using their hard-earned MBP cash which is offered for time spent and content learned, as well as raffles for large sets of Seforim and the like.

“For those growing up in a Lubavitcher community a Mishnayos Baal Peh program is something they may take for granted,” said Rabbi Yossi Elberg, Director of Programming at MyShliach, “our goal is to provide young Shluchim with the opportunity to participate in the powerful act of learning lines of Mishnayos and Tanya by heart in a communal environment of friendship and fun no matter where they live.”
