I Signed the Petition for Chinuch. Now What?

Unfortunately, the challenge is far from over.

Why is the campaign still so important?
Let me tell you why:

There are three days left to be heard.
Time is ticking and we have not reached everyone yet. We still need 25,162 petitions to reach the collective goal of 200,000 petitions. We need you at protectchinuch.com.

The topic affects our essence.
This issue touches our very core. This debate is not about the government being able to offer support to improve education. It is about our religious freedoms being challenged here on the shores of the United States of America.

If we do not stand together now, we risk losing the trust and ability to choose and control education for our children.
Can we allow a negative campaign fueled by prejudice to paint us as irresponsible and unworthy of parental decision-making power? Can we stand by silently as the government interferes with our ability to educate our children in a manner consistent with our religion and traditions?

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the government from enacting laws that regulate an establishment of religion or prohibit the free exercise of religion. Who decides the ideas and messages our children will be exposed to in the classroom? Us or the government?

Shavuos reminds us that our children are our guarantors. We cannot abandon them.

Natural parental instincts will always guide us to pursue the best for our children, so that they receive a Torah-true Chinuch without compromise.

This will not be the last discussion on this topic.
This conversation is taking place at the doors of the legislature. It will take more than a series of letters and comments to remove the threat.

Even if we influence the Board of Regents, the threat to Chinuch and our way of life is not over.
We must commit to standing up and speaking out on our own behalf, no matter how long it takes. We can, will, and are taking a stand now.

This conversation has brought our values to the forefront and reminded us how much we value Torah. Our students themselves are speaking up and explain how valuable the messages they are being taught are.

As we approach Shavuos, we stand together כאיש אחד בלב אחד to protect the Torah and our way of life. We will do what we can to preserve our freedom to choose an unadulterated Torah Chinuch for our children!
