An educational evening took place in Crown Heights on Wednesday, 30 Nissan, marking the first yahrtziet of Rabbi Yeshayah Schtroks OBM, the long time and beloved mechanech in Morristown NJ.
Organized by Merkaz Anash, the evening for parents and educators was titled, “How do I Give My Children a Chassidishe Chinuch?” discussing contemporary chinuch challenges.
Held in the Razag Ballroom, the event was open for men and women.
Rabbi Mordechai Lipsker of the Beis Medrash of Crown Heights spoke about “Education By Example: Harnessing The Power Of A Positive Role Model.”
Rabbi Zalmen Leib Markowitz, educator and a colleague of Rabbi Schtroks, discussed “Beyond Influence: How to Empower Our Children to Overcome Peer Pressure.”
And the veteran educator and Shliach in London, Rabbi Shmuel Lew, spoke about “Positive Energy: How to Motivate Your Children.”

The recording will be available on Torah Cafe within the next few days IYH.
thank you for broadcasting online for those of us who were unable to get out of the house- only issue with torah café were the commercials that interrupted far to frequently causing parts of the speakers talk to be missed as the commercial played
this is very nice, but there are ads in the middle that are not so appropriate – from the live stream used.
I will tell you how to raise chassidishe children:
For starters, don’t broadcast an event with very untznius’dike advertisements playing throughout the video feed (since you used Ustream)
One of the best mechanchim we’ve had the privilege to have had even though he was taken at such a young age. My brothers who had a hard time in the system will always remember Rabbi Schtroks as one of their favorite teachers. He was calm yet had control, treated each boy with genuine love and concern and was always dedicated to their well-being both materially and spiritually. May his neshama have a tremendous aliyah in shamayim.
Moshiach now!!!
one year already!!!!!!!!moshiach now!!
WOW! Thank you!
thank you for making this available online, I have added to my schedule and plan to watch it (despite not living in NY).
