A full collection of the halachic writings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, were given to the newly elected Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef and Rabbi Dovid Lau.
The 7 volume Shulchan Menachem is a revised annotated edition of the series Shaarei Halachah U’Minhag, culled from the Rebbe’s various works and organized according to the order of the Shulchan Aruch.
The new series was presented to both rabbis by Israeli Chabad activists Yaakov Gloiberman and Levi Edrei, who were instrumental in getting them elected last month.
During the meeting, which took place at the Offices of the Chief Rabbinate in Jerusalem, the Chief Rabbis promised to assist and support the activities of Chabad in Israel and worldwide, expressing admiration for the work of the Rebbe’s Shluchim and chassidim.
